Re-elect
Bob Branstrom
to Grass Valley City Council
What's next for Grass Valley?
There are more good things coming. While there will be things that no one can foresee, here are a few things that your City Council has approved or are things we are working on that might be coming.

(Details below.)
Streets and traffic flow
Repaving our streets continues to be a priority. Among other streets, in the next year, South Auburn Street is budgeted for sewer upgrades followed by repaving. Funding for creating a "peanut" roundabout has been approved by CalTrans for the complicated South Auburn/Neal Street/Hanson Way/Colfax Highway intersections to improving circulation.
South Auburn Street now.
Wolf Creek Trail extension
City Council has approved extending the Wolf Creek Trail through downtown Grass Valley and out Idaho-Maryland Road to Sutton Way. City staff are seeking grants to fund the project.
The Wolf Creek Trail currently ends at the Northstar Mining Museum.
Skate park
Our current skate park in Condon Park is well-worn from years of use and is outdated. The city is in the process of designing, with significant public input, a new skate facility in Condon Park, funded by a grant from the State of California. Construction will begin next year.
Biofuel plant?
Discussions are currently underway for a possible biofuel energy plant in Grass Valley. This would provide a local source of sustainable energy and a place too take excess vegetation from fuel reduction projects. It could also provide a place to take food waste, instead of shipping it to the Central Valley.
